Is this heaven?

The last leg of our road trip ended in Niagara Falls. We rode the Maid of the Mist boat which took us past the American Falls and right up to the Horseshoe Falls, a few dozen feet away from the thousands of gallons of pounding water. The experience is quite impressive to say the least. Before boarding, you're given a poncho so not to get completely drenched by the fall's water spraying you. The poncho helps but it's almost inevitable that the boat ride will leave you wet :) So as I was getting soaked and feeling the pounding power of water falling, I thought, "if there is a heaven, it must be something like this." :) The mind boggling enormity of the waterfalls left me in constant awe and wonder as I attempted to capture and grasp it all with my mind and senses. Our ability to experience wonder and awe connects us to a supernatural world that we cannot see, touch, nor completely fathom. So perhaps a supernatural heaven is something like being in a constant state of awe and wonder, being forever surrounded by beauty and splendor. Sounds just lovely.

After the boat ride, we decided to dry off at Niagara Park's FREE Botanical Gardens. These well manicured gardens are pretty much like eating a slice of heaven. They excite all the five senses with the diverse array of flora and fauna. While we were there, we saw lots of petunias, rhododendrons, azaleas and poppies blooming and with buds on the way. There are so many various stages within spring, summer and fall that feature different blooming plants and wildflowers. The earth is constantly recreating itself during these seasons. What slice of heaven will grow and blossom next?
