Pancake Town, USA

Coming back to Ohio after being in Mexico for six weeks has been tough. It's still cold and dreary, the cities and suburbs of Ohio are definitely not made for pedestrian strolling and community building, the economy's in a rut, education programs are being cut left and right, and the majority of Americans are overweight, misinformed and for the most part, socially depressed. Humph. America has a lot of work to do! Coming back to Ohio also means coming back to Burton. So, I must say some comments about my hometown. The lovely Burton, Ohio: Pancake Home of America. During every Maple syrup season, Burton hosts pancake breakfasts for about 8 or 10 Sundays during the months of February, March and April. You'll find yummy pancakes not only at the fire department but at the high school, the Legion Hall and the Century Village as well. All four serve delicious blueberry and buttermilk pancakes, juice, coffee, potatoes, eggs and of course, REAL maple syrup :) If your mouth is drooling, don't delay! The last pancake breakfast is this Sunday at the Legion Hall! Check it out! :)

And you know what Maple syrup season means for Ohio? SPRING IS ON ITS WAY!!!!! Northern Ohio needs SUN!!!!! :)
