CROSS COUNTRY ROAD TRIP: day one/part two

The Travelers:

July 15-Day One

We've driven from Cleveland to Columbus to Indianapolis to Marshall, IL. Feeling tired but very inspired by all the different sights, cultures and landscapes along the road. We're already starting to hear the southern accent ;) Two states down, five more to go.

Conservation Fundraiser

The Appalachian Trail stretches across 14 states, from Georgia to Maine, and covers 250,000 acres. It makes up some of the largest areas of forestry in the Eastern U.S. and is home to thousands of diverse species of wildlife. Beginning April 3, I will start hiking the 2,175 mile long Appalachian Trail and begin writing my Appalachian Trail tales on this blog. I am asking friends and family to help support me by donating money to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, a non-profit organization that helps support the Appalachian Trail. Specifically, the money will go towards understanding the changes of the Appalachian Trail environment due to global warming, invasive species and human impact, and developing ways to help sustain a healthy AT environment.
