Everyday is a different day.
Sorrow comes,
joy arises.
New challenges to face
and reasons to be thankful.
Lessons to learn
and relearn.
Finding unity in everything
and within.
Everyday is a different day,
different from yesterday
and the day before.
Standing out in the universe,
in the infinite realm of time.
Waiting to be discovered and embraced,
to be realized and appreciated
only to recreate itself anew.
Everyday is a different day
Everyday is a good day.
Yes, on the Trail, everyday is a different day! Different trials: wet tent and socks and clothes and boots, a large growing hole in the bottom of my boot, poison ivy creeping its home on my body, blisters, aches and pains, discouragement. Thankfully the joys outnumber the trials! The days are getting longer and warmer, we are almost in June, the hummingbirds are buzzing around, I'm in Virginia and made it 1/4 of the way. Everyday is a different day and everyday is a good day!
To date, I've raised $676.75 for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. I'm currently above my goal of raising $1 for every mile I walk, so thank you to friends and family who contributed! If you haven't yet and would like to donate, please call the ATC at 304-535-6331 x120 or send a check to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy,PO Box 807 Harpers Ferry, WV 25425-0807. Please indicate that is in honor or tribute to Rachel Chapman.
Summer love to ya'll,
Gaucha
